Privacy

CasinoProofDesk has no accounts, sign-up forms, comments or newsletter, so we never ask for your name, email address or payment details. This notice describes everything the site records and where it goes.

The visit source in your browser

When you arrive, a script on the page works out where the visit came from and stores one label in your browser’s session storage, under the name cg_src. The label is one of: an AI assistant (chatgpt, perplexity, gemini, copilot or claude), a search engine (google, bing or ddg), direct, or other. It is based on the utm_source parameter in the address or, failing that, on the referring site. Moving between pages of this site does not change it. Session storage is cleared when you close the tab. The label is not sent anywhere on its own; it is used only if you click a partner link.

Partner links point to an address on our site that begins with /visit/. When you click one, the stored label is added to that address, and an event called affiliate_click is sent to Google Analytics 4 with five values: the brand, the page, the position of the link on the page, the visit-source label and the country whose list of casinos the page showed. Our /visit/ address then forwards you to one of the operator’s three tracking links, picked by the source cookie described next, or by the referring assistant when ChatGPT or Gemini links you straight to that address, and adds one parameter: the domain of our site, so that the operator knows the visit came from CasinoProofDesk. Apart from that domain and which of the three links you followed, nothing about you is passed to the operator by us.

If you arrive from ChatGPT or Gemini, our server sets a cookie named _s holding a two-letter code for that assistant: cg for ChatGPT, gn for Gemini. It lasts 30 days, scripts on the page cannot read it, and a later visit replaces it only if you come from the other assistant. A visit from anywhere else, Google search included, neither sets nor changes it. The cookie is read only when you click a partner link: it decides which of the operator’s three tracking links you are sent to, one for ChatGPT visits, one for Gemini visits and one for all other visits. You can delete it in your browser settings.

Your country

Which casinos our lists show depends on the country of your connection. When a page with a list opens, your browser asks our server for that country. Cloudflare, which hosts the site, reads it from your IP address as the request arrives, and our server sends back only a two-letter country code, which your browser uses to pick the list. We do not store the code or your IP address for this; the only trace is the country of the list in a partner link click, described above.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity to understand how pages are used. Neither loads when the page opens: both load only after your first interaction with the page, such as scrolling, moving the mouse, touching the screen, clicking or pressing a key. Once loaded, they collect usage data and may set cookies under Google’s and Microsoft’s own terms. Clarity records interactions such as clicks and scrolling to show how pages are read.

Apart from these two services, the site loads no third-party scripts, fonts or advertising.

Hosting

The site is served by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes the technical data that comes with each request, such as your IP address, browser type and the page requested, to deliver and protect the site.

Your choices

You can block scripts or storage in your browser settings, use a private window, or close the tab to clear the visit-source label. Every page can be read without any of them; only the analytics and the source label on partner links depend on them.
